Have you seen The Ultimate Beastmaster on Netflix yet?! …I know, “what does this have to do with the building…” or Jesus for that matter! Hang in there with me cause what I love about the show is what I love about where we’re at as we approach the final stages of the building process.
The Ultimate Beastmaster is a show with contestants from around the world who are competing to not be eliminated from completing The Beast – which is a four-phased obstacle course. The strength, skill and determination displayed by these contestants is amazing! You always see their resolve most towards the end of the obstacles when they’re aching and exhausted. It’s that little more… it’s that extra push… that seemingly impossible last little leap that defies the viewers, the judges and at times, even themselves.
LifePoint, I think that’s where we’re at in the building process! Personally, I am amazed daily by how much more is being given, done and accomplished by God’s grace that defies our expectations. Whether it is through construction, the staff, elders or our faithful volunteers, there is so much that makes me stand back and go, “WOW!”
With that being said, we aren’t at the finish line yet! Over the next couple of weeks the finishing touches of the building’s Audio, Visual and Lighting, Flooring, Cabinetry, Furniture and so many other details will come together like a thousand-piece a puzzle. There are still obstacles to climb and things to overcome, but I feel confident that God has and will continue to take us beyond our wildest expectations and we want you to be there when we celebrate!
With that said there are two opportunities for you to celebrate with us. First is our Open House Event Sunday, December 9th from 3-5pm at 3926 Harrison Street. You and your friends are invited! Come and walk through our new church building! See how this new facility will be used for ministry. The staff will available to answer questions and help paint a picture for how each environment has been intentionally designed to help lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. This is going to be a great first look at our space, you are not going to want to miss it!
Second, write down Sunday, December 16th. This will be our first service in our new building! Service times will be changing to 9:00 am and 10:45 am and we want you to be there for our opening. Join us as we celebrate completing the obstacles and enjoy our new space as a church!
