Brett Sanner – Lead Pastor
As Lead Pastor of LifePoint, Brett oversees the preaching ministry, directs and develops the staff team, and works closely with the elders. He is passionate about seeing people connect with Jesus and His mission. Brett joined the LifePoint team in 2013. Prior to moving to Quincy, he led a refugee ministry team in Athens, Greece. Ordained in 2007, Brett has also earned degrees in Sociology (B.A.; North Park University, Chicago), Theology (M.Div.; Lincoln Christian Seminary), and is now completing doctoral coursework in New Testament Context (D.Min; Northern Seminary).
Brett married Kristin in 2005. They have since added four girls to their family. When not playing dolls or protecting princesses from imaginary dragons, Brett enjoys all varieties of Chicago sports and grilled meats.
Chris Woodard – Executive Pastor of Operations
Chris oversees the church finances, human resources, and general administration of the office here at LifePoint. Chris loves spending time working closely with the staff and elders, and seeing the people of LifePoint grow in generosity. Chris was ordained into pastoral ministry at LifePoint in 2012 and has seven years of experience managing finances for both non-profit and for-profit organizations, with four of those years being here at LifePoint.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Chris married his wife Debbie over 20 years ago and they have three children (Savannah, Cameron and Sierra). Chris and his family continue to spend time on the mission field, having served in many countries around the world.
Jayson Bennett – Creative Arts Pastor
Jay works to provide direction and oversight to our creative, production and communication ministries at LifePoint. Those ministries include worship, tech and media. Jay especially enjoys leading people to encounter God through music during our Sunday services. Jay has a B.A. in Communication Studies from California Baptist University (CBU) and over 15 years of ministry experience as a Worship Arts Pastor prior to joining LifePoint in 2015.
As a Southern California resident for most of his life, Jay spent many of his early years traveling the United States with his military family. Jay and Danielle were married in 2008 and have since added JJ, Maddie and Nolan to their family. Jay loves working hard, but he loves to play even harder. He enjoys adventures with the kids, hanging out, building projects (aka – playing with power tools), card games, or finding a really good restaurant with Danielle.
Danny McManus – Student Ministries Pastor
Danny’s goal is to help change the lives of students so that they can see Jesus in a way they have never experienced before and to allow their faith to become real and their own. His goal for students is that they make a relationship with Jesus, and being a part of the church, an integral part of their lives. He works closely with parents and volunteers to accomplish this goal and provide leadership to 6th-12th grade students here at LifePoint.
Danny has been serving in full time student ministry since 2013. He has a huge heart for students and desires to see them rise up as this generation to change the world for Jesus. Danny is originally from Phoenix, AZ and is married to Arie who Danny will unapologetically tell you is his better half. Danny and Arie have a daughter, grace. Danny enjoys all things outdoors-hunting, fishing, hiking, sports, especially ultimate frisbee and frisbee golf. He worked as a computer technician for five years and is a self-proclaimed “nerd.” He also worked as a paramedic for six years before being called to full time ministry.
Joe Mally – Children’s Ministry Pastor
Joe serves as the Children’s Ministry Pastor at LifePoint. In this role he partners with parents and the LifePoint Kids team members to work with those 5th grade and under at LifePoint. Joe loves being able to come along side children and their families and help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Joe has a B.A in Bible & Children’s Ministry from Moody Bible Institute, and around five years of experience in ministry prior to starting at LifePoint in June 2015.
Born in Alabama, Joe moved six times before coming to Quincy with his wife Emilee. Outside of ministry Joe enjoys a good cup of coffee, board/card games with friends, and working out.
Christine Stevens – Children’s Ministry Administrator
Christine serves as the LifePoint Kids Administrator and in this role she helps us prepare weekly for our Nursery-5th grade activities. She received her B.S. in Speech Communication (and sees the humor in it) from Hannibal-LaGrange College. She has a great deal of experience in overseas ministry and 8 years of experience in administrative management and assistance. She loves her time with the kids on Sundays and enjoys being a benefit to LifePoint’s leaders, families and volunteers.
Christine grew up in Quincy and returned four years ago after living in Haiti. In addition to working at LifePoint she works full-time in childcare for single mothers. When she is not holding babies she enjoys learning, building things, and making stained glass.
Kourtney Price – Small Groups (LifeGroups) Coordinator
Kourtney oversees LifePoint’s small group ministry, LifeGroups. Along with LifeGroups, Kourtney partners with Danette in overseeing the Hospitality ministry, which includes Sunday morning first impression, greeters, and cafe hosts. She received her B.A. in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College and M.A. in Theological Studies from Covenant Seminary. Kourtney is passionate about connecting people together around the gospel of Jesus.
Together, Kourtney and her husband, Derek, have led and been a part of small groups for ten years. Kourtney and Derek have a daughter, Verity. While Kourtney was born in South Carolina, she has spent the majority of her life in Quincy. For fun, Kourtney loves to run, read, cook, and drink lots of coffee.
Danette Rabe – Office Administrator
Danette and her husband, Eric, live on his family’s farm in Mendon. They have two wonderful daughters, Shannon and Claire. As a family they enjoy playing ping pong, card games, and going on summer vacations. Danette also enjoys running, walking, playing piano, and baking cookies.
