Missions means so many different things to so many different people. It can mean the mission of walking across the street to your neighbor, serving at a soup kitchen, or getting on a plane and flying to a dangerous place. All of these involve people on mission. Here at LifePoint we believe all followers of Jesus should be on mission to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Because of this, here at LifePoint, 10% of every dollar collected goes to missions. Missions locally and missions globally. God is making a great name for Himself among the nations, and He has called all Christians to be an active part of His mission. If you’ve ever given financially to LifePoint, you are involved in that mission.
LifePoint’s Missions Team (Chris & Debbie Woodard, Dave Holzgraefe, Amy Rosen, Kyle Stewart, Christine Stevens, Justin Twaddle, Kristin Sanner and Mindy Holthaus) oversee and steward this part of the LifePoint budget, meeting monthly to review our missions process, evaluate current and potential new mission’s opportunities, and pray for each of our mission’s partners. Each member of the team has extensive local and global missions experience, and is honored to play a role in what has been part of LifePoint’s DNA from the beginning.
As followers of Jesus, we are God’s plan A to reach the lost with the good news of His son, and there is no plan B. If we have a heart to see our city, our nation, and this world transformed for and by Jesus Christ, we must have a heart to reach out to those not only next door, but to those on the other side of the globe as well. The Missions Team is just a small way that LifePoint is reaching out to others. Thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us as we lead ALL people into a growing relationship with Jesus!
