I’m excited to come to you today with a call to action. It’s a call to action to serve our church. So many of you have asked us how you can help, what role you can play. I’m excited today to answer those very questions.
In the next few months, we will get the opportunity to do something that may not happen again in Quincy for a long time. We get to present our new church home to our community. In making LifePoint your church home, you have already invested in this call to action. We are honored to come alongside each other and serve our community as a body of Christ, leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus. This is our mission. As we prepare to welcome people into our new home, I hope we continue to embrace this not simply as a phrase we say on Sunday mornings, but a call to action to love and lead all we encounter to Christ.
Since moving to Quincy I have seen multiple businesses open and watched this community pour into the front doors. I have seen excitement grow in Quincy and a buzz created around these new experiences. As a church, I hope we recognize our new building will create the same excitement and I hope we will lean into this opportunity to show Jesus to all that God brings through our doors.
I’d like to invite you to join us as we put our best foot forward during this new season for LifePoint. To stay a little longer, to show up a little earlier. To volunteer an extra Sunday or two as we welcome new people. If we encounter 100 new people or simply just one, it’s my prayer that they will encounter the love of Christ at LifePoint. That they know we are here to love them and demonstrate God’s love toward them. I hope that you will join us as we attempt to do just that.
As we come to you and ask you to serve, thank you to those of you that are serving already. We can’t do what we do without you. Thank you for your willingness to lean in a do more during this season and I’m excited to see what God will do through you. If you haven’t yet joined us in serving, this is the perfect time to jump in. We need all hands on deck and it’s as simple as an email or phone call. I look forward to talking and serving with you!
